General

As a Project Manager, you will be working from our Rotterdam office, responsible for the successful completion of testing, inspection, calibration and certification projects on board sea-going vessels around the world.

To make this happen, you will be responsible for Sales and Service Coordination. Upon receival of the request for quotation, make and submit quotes, follow up on the quotes and when the order is received coordinate that the service can be executed. You will have daily contact with colleagues based in Rotterdam and also have regular contact with our international offices in Panama, Thessaloniki, Dubai, Singapore, India and Shanghai.

You will enter Mr. Marine Academy training programs to ensure your fast development within the company.

You will be reporting to a Team Leader.

Job Description

  • Preparing quotations for testing, inspection, calibration, certification and service jobs on board of sea-going vessels.
  • Organizing and coordinating the projects on board of the vessels involving contact with customers, subcontractors, material suppliers, shipping agents, forwarders, and port authorities.
  • Manage communication with customers and subcontractors throughout the project.
  • Project administration.

Job Requirements

Function requirements

  • Minimum a first-level university degree, preferably in Engineering or Logistics.
  • 2+ years of related experience in Project Management, or Sales and Service Coordination.
  • Knowledge and experience in maritime Instruments & Controls (such as gas detection, ODME, UTI, fire fighting, and general automation) is preferred.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills in English, plus a second relevant language (Dutch is preferred).
  • Good understanding and empathy for cultural differences (our team employs 27 different nationalities).
  • Being tech-savvy is a plus.
