Mr. Marine’s headquarter is located in the city centre of Rotterdam at Walenburgerplein 106. Here Mr. Marine works on keeping vessels safe and compliant all over the world. We have a flexible working policy working in the office and remotely from home. Maximum, approximately 40 people can work from the office at the same time.

The Receptionist and Office Manager will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office and will report to the HR Business Partner while working closely with the entire Mr. Marine team. We are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage the reception desk, provide administrative support, and maintain a positive and professional working environment for all employees. Job Description

  • Welcome visitors and ensure they are comfortable and informed
  • Answer and redirect phone calls, emails and postal mail to the appropriate person or team
  • Keep the office and kitchen area clean and tidy for visitors and employees, including restocking supplies
  • Manage relationships with facility providers to ensure the office is clean and well-maintained
  • Assist in the organization and preparation of office events, including town hall presentations, team events, borrels, etc
  • Ensure that desks are kept clean and organized under our floating desk policy
  • Purchase office supplies, groceries, and other necessary items online
  • Undertake general administrative and documentation tasks as required
  • Provide ad hoc assistance to the management team, including marketing and organizing meetings

Job Requirements

Function requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in an office management or secretarial position, with an MBO working and thinking level
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Proficiency in office software products, with experience in Google Suite preferred
  • A client-focused and responsive approach to work, with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • A well-organized and structured way of working, with the ability to cope with strict deadlines
  • A decisive and proactive mindset with the ability to work flexibly
