General

The Team Leader Spares manages a team of Sales Engineers and Warehouse Operators that supports the supply and coordination of spares for our worldwide marine services. The Team Leader creates an environment which encourages and inspires the team to be their best whilst focused on driving results to meet the organisational goals and objectives. Continuously identifying process gaps and seeking to enhance productivity and service quality to achieve operational excellence.

Experience with procurement and sales of spare parts in general and specifically in the maritime sector are important to be successful in this position. A hands-on, execution-oriented mentality and teamwork are also crucial.

The Team Leader Spares reports directly to the Operations Director.

Job Description

  • Manage the spare parts department, measure, monitor, and manage the team’s performance to ensure they are aligned with the company’s objectives
  • Contribute and participate in the spare parts business strategy based on the demand and supply of parts
  • Prepare a forecast based on historical and future parts sales
  • Maintain the spare parts price list
  • Process customer and service spare requests from the inquiry stage to delivery stage
  • In close cooperation with the Service team, think along about the efficient planning of the spare parts
  • Proactively detect signals in the supply chain and identify opportunities or threats that will affect operations
  • Ensure the team utilises best practices, techniques and standards
  • Look for improvement and efficiency in and around operational processes
  • Coach and develop team members – identifying training needs
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions within team and cross-team

Job Requirements

Function Requirements

  • A min of first-level university degree, preferably with a technical background
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the same role within the maritime industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with logistics and administrative processes
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, SAP (B1) is a plus
  • Fluent in English in writing and verbally
  • Experience working with global (virtual) teams
  • Experience with the fast-growing organisation(s) is a plus
