VDR (Voyage Data Recorder) is a “Black Box” for a ship. SVDR (Samsung Voyage Data Recorder) records real-time data related to the status and output of the ship’s equipment, control, and command for 12 hours according to IMO Performance Standard A.861(20) and IEC 61996. The SVDR is designed to withstand harsh operating environments as well as accident-related impacts, fire, and deep sea pressure. Beyond its role as an impartial witness in the event of an accident, the system also provides access to a valuable stream of real-time data that can be used to monitor the vital statistics and overall health of a vessel, allowing preemptive action to be taken before breakdowns or failures occur. SHI is continuously expanding its national market verifying its outstanding performance and functions all over the world.
