The control unit offers three operating levels, which can be accessed and adjusted via password-protected settings. This ensures secure and controlled access to different functionality levels, providing an added layer of security and flexibility. Another important feature of the MULTISCAN++S1 is the ability to set or unset detectors. This feature is particularly useful for field maintenance, as it allows users to temporarily disable one or more channels while performing necessary maintenance tasks.
The control unit also provides the option to test channels in the field. Efficient system supervision is made possible through the use of the Modbus protocol. The MULTISCAN++S1 includes an event log that can be easily accessed and visualized either from the gas panel or through the software. This log provides a comprehensive record of events, offering valuable insights and information for system analysis and troubleshooting. To ensure accurate timekeeping, the control unit is equipped with an internal clock that has a backup function. This backup feature allows the unit to retain the correct date and time even after a shutdown, ensuring continuous and reliable operation.
Visual indications are provided through an LCD display and 18 status LEDs, allowing for quick and easy monitoring of the system status. Additionally, acoustic indications are available via a built-in buzzer with a sound level of 60 dB at 1 meter. For user interaction and control, the control unit features front panel buttons, including numbers from 1 to 9, ENT, ESC, and four directional buttons. These buttons enable intuitive navigation and operation of the unit, enhancing user convenience and ease of use.
