Sensitron Multiscan 8+ Gas Control Unit

The MULTISCAN 8+ is an innovative gas control unit designed for small plants with up to 16 gas detectors. This advanced system can monitor 8 gas detectors connected directly to the control panel using a 4-20mA interface and an additional 12 detectors via remote 8-input cards STG/IN8S. The unit’s versatility allows it to detect various gases, including flammable and toxic compounds, refrigerant gases, as well as oxygen depletion and enrichment. The control panel offers comprehensive management capabilities with 6 output relays onboard and the potential to add 32 more via the additional board STG/16REL or remote modules STG/OUT16S+STG/8REL. The device features a backlit LCD display for precise gas concentration indication and alarm set points, while mode status LED’s provide a visual indication for alarm levels, faults, and power-on. An internal buzzer delivers an audible alarm in case of emergencies.

The MULTISCAN 8+ gas control unit is powered by a 100-240 Vac supply with the option for backup power using two 12V / 7Ah batteries. It supports multiple communication protocols, including Galileo or Modbus for field communication and Modbus for system supervision. The programming and configuration can be performed using the Sensitron software, and the unit allows for easy testing and maintenance of individual channels. The device is built to withstand challenging environmental conditions, with an operating temperature range of 0 to +50°C and storage temperature from -20 to +60°C. The durable ABS material enclosure ensures longevity and protection for the internal components. For compliance, the MULTISCAN 8+ adheres to EMC and ATEX directives, meeting industry standards for safety and performance.
