The Sensitron MULTISCAN++MED is an advanced gas detection control unit tailored for the marine industry, providing exceptional flexibility and reliability. This robust system, housed in a durable metal cabinet measuring 500 x 500 x 220 mm, is built around a powerful microprocessor capable of performing comprehensive self-diagnostic procedures to identify and locate potential faults. The standard configuration supports up to 72 gas detectors, which can be either addressable types connected via RS485 bus lines or 4-20 mA analogical types connected through STG/IN8-S2MED remote modules. The control unit can manage up to 128 Open Collector outputs using STG/OUT16-S2MED modules, with an optional expansion to 256 outputs, ensuring extensive control capabilities. Additionally, it includes eight onboard relays with a contact rating of 16A, 250 Vac. The system architecture incorporates up to two galvanic isolated RS485 bus loops, enhancing protection against electrical noise.
A backlit graphic LCD display provides precise gas concentration readings, complemented by 9 double LEDs for visual indication. The unit also features a RS232C serial port for PC connectivity, facilitating configuration and supervision, and a parallel printer port for event memory reports or real-time printouts. Certified for Marine, ATEX, and SIL 2 (EN 50402) standards, the MULTISCAN++MED operates efficiently within a temperature range of 0-55°C and relative humidity of 15-85%. Its power consumption is a maximum of 10 VA, and it operates on a 220Vac power supply, making it a reliable and versatile solution for marine gas detection needs.
