Introducing the VAF Instruments 771 Electronic Fuel Viscosity Controller, an essential component of the ViscoSense®, ViscoSense® 2, and Viscotherm® systems. This advanced electronic controller is designed for precise measurement and regulation of fuel oil viscosity, particularly within fuel oil treatment systems. The VAF viscosity control system consists of several crucial components, including the Viscosity Measuring Sensor, Temperature Measuring Sensor (standard for ViscoSense® and ViscoSense® 2), Electronic Viscosity Signal Converter (standard interface box for ViscoSense® and ViscoSense® 2), Electronic Viscosity Controller, and an optional Control Valve for Steam or Thermal Liquid. Operated by a microprocessor, the Electronic Viscosity Controller utilizes proportional and integrating control mechanisms. Available in both 1-channel and 2-channel configurations, it offers output options tailored to various viscosity control system requirements. These options encompass retransmission of viscosity and temperature data, along with relay outputs for control valve operation.

The controller features a color 1/4 VGA TFT liquid crystal display with an operator keypad containing six tactile membrane keys. Its sturdy construction, crafted from glass-filled polycarbonate, ensures durability in demanding environments. Technical specifications include an operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, operating humidity range of 5 to 95%RH (non-condensing), and an input voltage of 100 to 240 V AC ±10%. Input types comprise current 3-wire and optional PT100. Output options include analog (4-20 mA) and relay outputs (Controller and Alarm), with the provision for a 2-Wire Transmitter Power Supply (optional).
