1. What do you like most about working at Mr. Marine?

There are many things I enjoy about working at Mr. Marine, but two of the most notable would be the dynamic, fast-paced international atmosphere, and the dedicated and passionate team members.
The diversity of cultures and perspectives brought by the international environment allows for fresh ideas, alternative ways of thinking and approaches to work. It has brought not only cultural learning opportunities but also a sense of excitement that I have never felt working in a more homogeneous environment. The fast-paced nature of the company means that no two days are ever the same, and that keeps me engaged and motivated.
Furthermore, I value the teamwork culture at Mr. Marine. The people I work with are truly invested in their roles, and it’s clear that they care about the success of the company and the impact of their work. Everyone is willing to lend a helping hand, share their knowledge and expertise. I feel like I am part of something bigger than just a job, and that makes me happy and proud. It is a great pleasure to work with this team, which always strives to give its best and work towards common goals.

2. What is your greatest achievement at work?

It would be difficult to identify a single, definitive moment as the entire experience at Mr. Marine has been marked by a series of significant accomplishments. One of the most notable and rewarding highlights was my participation on the team that effectively introduced a new enterprise resource planning system, which laid the foundation for a successful digital transformation initiative.

3. What motivates you?

The idea that my actions have a meaningful effect, whether in my professional environment, local community, or on a global scale, is a powerful motivator for me. The knowledge that I am making a positive difference drives me to continue making progress.

4. What do you love most about what you do?

One of the things I enjoy most about my job is the variety of teamwork and diversity in my daily responsibilities. The opportunity to collaborate on a wide range of projects and witness their successful completion is incredibly fulfilling. However, this variety of work also presents its own set of challenges, such as managing the different expectations, timelines, and communication styles among the project teams. It requires adaptability, good time management and effective communication skills to handle different projects and teams.

5. What is the best work advice you have ever received?

The best work advice I have ever received came from a colleague, who told me that above all else, it’s important to prioritize my own happiness and well-being. They explained that when I am fulfilled and satisfied in my personal life, it will naturally translate to my professional life and the quality of my work. The idea that my own happiness is the foundation for success in my career resonated with me deeply. It was a reminder that while it is important to work hard and be dedicated, it is also crucial to take care of myself and make sure that my job is fulfilling and satisfying. This advice has helped me to find a better work-life balance, maintain a positive attitude, and ultimately become more productive and successful in my career.

6. What was the most valuable lesson you learned while working at Mr. Marine?

I’ve learned that having the right approach and mindset in complex and fast-changing environments is essential. I came to understand that being efficient doesn’t always mean being fast but also being precise and thorough, able to anticipate and react to changing circumstances. The most important thing is to be able to identify the critical aspects of the problem and prioritize the actions that will bring the best outcome while being prepared for the unexpected.

7. What are your future career plans (goals)?

In terms of my future career goals, I am particularly focused on further developing my skills in project management. I want to be able to lead projects more effectively and deliver results on time and within budget, and also be able to manage projects with more complex and diverse teams.
Furthermore, I want to be an active participant in Mr. Marine’s growth and digitalization journey. I am excited about the opportunity to be a part of this process and make a meaningful contribution to the company’s continued success. I plan to do this by staying informed about industry trends and best practices in digitalization, looking for opportunities to apply these to the company’s operations and also sharing my own knowledge and skills with my team members to help us all progress.
I also see myself taking on leadership roles as I progress, guiding and mentoring my colleagues and teams to help them reach their full potential and in parallel work towards my own professional growth within the company.
