The Martek Navgard™ Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) is specifically designed to fulfill the SOLAS Regulation V/19 requirements, as amended by MSC.282(86), for the installation of a BNWAS on all new and existing ships. It also meets the performance standards outlined by MSC.128(75) and IEC 62616. This comprehensive system is approved by major classification societies and has received MED approval from Lloyd’s Register. The Navgard™ system consists of a control panel that can be either bulkhead-mounted or console-mounted, accompanied by an onboard Passive Infra-Red (PIR) movement detector. Its modular design allows for easy adaptation to any bridge size and layout, with the option to incorporate additional PIRs and/or manual resets inside the bridge or weatherproof versions for the bridge wings.
Installing the Navgard™ BNWAS is the easiest, quickest, and most cost-effective solution available, guaranteed. The system comes with a 2-year warranty, demonstrating its durability and longevity in maritime environments. It features ON/OFF and alarm logging functions, as well as a password-protected switch-off capability. Equipped with a “Dual Tech” motion sensor, the Navgard™ system prevents false resets, ensuring reliable performance. It includes a built-in central motion detector with a range of 10 meters, providing comprehensive coverage. For vessels classified under Lloyd’s Register, the system offers a variant with manual reset functionality to meet LR Type Approval requirements.
