Totem Plus ECDIS

Introducing the TOTEM PLUS ECDIS, a cutting-edge Electronic Chart Display and Information System that revolutionizes ship navigation. This advanced system seamlessly integrates electronic charts with data from various ship navigation systems, including AIS, GPS, Gyrocompass, Speed Log, Wind Sensor, and Echo Sounder, among others. By consolidating information from multiple sources, the TOTEM PLUS ECDIS provides comprehensive navigational data and enhances situational awareness on board. The TOTEM PLUS ECDIS offers a wide range of navigational functions, including interfaces with the ship’s navigational equipment to provide essential information for safe navigation. It supports route planning and monitoring capabilities, and its automatic navigation assistance enhances operational efficiency.

With AIS integration, the system displays AIS targets on-screen, providing vessel information, position, and course tracking. Electronic charts are seamlessly displayed, supporting S-57 (Official IHO standard ENC vector charts) and C-MAP CM93/3 chart formats. Chart updates are made easy through direct Internet connection, email, or offline updating. The system incorporates safety features such as vessel collision prediction, monitoring, and alarms for all AIS targets. It also alerts the crew when approaching dangerous areas, such as shallow waters or navigational hazards. In emergency situations, the “Man Overboard” mode enables quick and efficient emergency operations with a single click. The Totem ECDIS Workstation, designed for harsh maritime environments, comprises a type-approved marine PC with a high-resolution monitor. Its flexible and expandable configuration includes up to 8 serial ports to interface with navigation equipment. For enhanced control and convenience, an optional navigation console is available.
